I was pretty well prepared for this discussion. I had all three bullet points filled out for each question. They helped out a lot having them down on the paper in front of me. I communicated well also, I tried to say at least one thing about each question. I also listened well, hearing what my group was saying and then adding in response to their thoughts. That was a big part trying to listen to everyone whole you are thinking of your own point to say, and trying to fit your thought with what the group was saying. One strong point i thought i made was when Tim O'Brien went back to Vietnam and placed Kiowa's shoes back in the mud as a final goodbye and he was lost for words because he was so overcome with emotion. Maybe some of the more weak comments i made were the ones no one related to or responded to right away. Most of the points that i had on my paper were covered, either I said them or other group members did.
The Grape Seed Group Discussion as a whole went really well. We were all polite and courteous to each other when it was their turn. Our discussion went smoothly because almost everyone had good points either agreeing or disagreeing with other comments made. The three questions we picked lead us to very emotionally heavy parts of the book. In these parts of the book got a variety of answers to the question , which makes for a good discussion. Overall we have a very good discussion, we were kind to each other and each other's thoughts, had many sides to each question and addressed them well.
